This is a nice, thick, heavy book. Roughly the same size as the two Van Halen coffee table books published by Neil Zlozower.
The text is in Japanese, but it’s minimal, as this is predominantly a photo book. The vast majority of these never published photos are from 1978 and 1979 in Japan, giving the collection an exotic flavor.
The book is chock-full of great onstage photos and tons of fun, candid offstage shots of the boys traveling, in their tour bus, at restaurants, in the streets of Tokyo, etc. It's clear they were having the time of their lives!
Also includes photos from New York (’78), Arizona (’79), Castle Donington (’84), and galleries of rare Japanese Van Halen posters, flyers, tickets, vinyl, “OBI” inserts, and more.
